Automotive Interior Trim Components | UFP TechnologiesProblem:
A leading provider to the automotive OEM industry was in need of rear interior compartment trim panel for a new vehicle assembly. The purpose of the panel was for interior aesthetic and to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) within the cabin. To produce this component the company was searching for a manufacturer with varied manufacturing capabilities and expertise in designing and developing automotive interior trim components.

The panel was precision thermoformed and die cut out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan Facility, meeting and exceeding all of the design and quality needs of our customer.

Success:Solutions for the Automotive Industry | UFP Technologies
As a common practice in the automotive industry, injected molded parts are used for many interior trim components. Producing this panel via precision thermoforming and die cutting offered significant design enhancements that could not be achieved with regular injection molded parts. This project helps expand our customer’s offerings in the interior trim market by allowing them to now assemble thermoformed components through a valued partner, UFP Technologies, Inc.
