The UFP Story

Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Newburyport, Massachusetts, UFP Technologies is a designer and custom manufacturer of comprehensive solutions for medical devices, sterile packaging, and other highly engineered custom products. UFP is an important link in the medical device supply chain and a valued outsource partner to many of the top medical device manufacturers in the world. Our single-use and single-patient devices and components are used in a wide range of medical devices and packaging for minimally invasive surgery, infection prevention, wound care, wearables, orthopedic soft goods, and orthopedic implants.

Much like our focus on shaping design and engineering innovation, UFP MedTech was forged from a 55-year evolution of advancement. Discover the milestones that made us who we are today.

1963

United Packaging Corporation was founded. The company supplied protective packaging for computers and electronics.

Expanded operations and relocated headquarters to Georgetown, MA.
